Thank you for stopping by to look at our beautiful Cocker Spaniels
We (Jeff & Tracy) live in a Small Village in Cambridgeshire and all of our Dogs are our pets and we show as a hobby. Our Kennel is very small and we keep a minimum amount of dogs at any one time. We have 3 dogs in the house with us and rotate them frequently, giving them lots of cuddle time with us. The rest live In a log cabin that has been specially adapted for their needs.

Our Affix (Clavaire) comes from the fact that Jeff has a rather interesting hobby in Mushroom Hunting during the spring and autumn. Clavaire is French for a certain type of mushroom called "Clavaire Cendree" or "Grey Coral Fungus". Although inedible when found in the woods it can cover old tree stumps and look absolutely amazing.

Jeff became interested in wild mushrooms years ago whilst playing golf. As he walked around the golf course he would find a huge variety of mushrooms and became interested in which species they were and of course if they were edible. Through hours of reading and mushroom forays he can now confidently identify most fungi species found in the UK and Europe. Jeff is also a member of the British Mycological Society.

Our Daughter Lauren has inherited our love for dogs and has spent time across the other side of the world caring for dogs in need. She volunteered at 2 Dog Shelters in Thailand whereby she looked after over 100 animals including elephants! She ended up staying at one shelter for a year and learnt valuable lessons including dog behavioural skills and how to care for very sick animals. She wasn’t afraid to get stuck in and says it was an amazing experience. One she won’t forget in a hurry!

  • We customarily have one or two planned litters a year, of blue roan, blue roan & tan, orange roan, chocolate roan and chocolate roan & tan puppies from quality health tested blood lines compatible with our cockers of good type and superb temperament.

  • We only breed from suitably aged, healthy bitches and would never knowingly breed from hereditary defective lines

  • Very occasionally we may breed to keep a puppy for show or for a friend /family and we may have other puppies. We do not advertise for sale. The dogs are DNA health tested to ensure their own health and that of any offspring. All have temperaments which are second to none as they are all well socialised with other dogs and young children. Do get in touch if you would like to enquire about the possibility of homing one of the puppies at some point..

  • Our puppies are to go to their forever homes with the proviso that should any of their owners circumstances change we should be given the opportunity to take back or re-home any of our progeny however old, at any time.

  • As from April 2007, all our puppies are undocked to comply with current legislation, however under our vets advice they still have their dew claws removed

  • We have one health tested dog available for occasional stud work to approved bitches only.

  • More often than not we run two puppies on, that we consider are worthy of being shown because of this we sometimes have an older puppy available to be re-homed once we have decided which one we would like to show. They are always well socialised, vaccinated, house and lead trained.
