We customarily have one or two planned litters a year, of Blue Roan, Blue Roan & Tan, Chocolate Roan, Chocolate Roan & Tan and Orange Roan puppies from good quality, health tested bloodlines compatible with our cockers of excellent type and superb temperament. We only breed from suitably aged, fit and healthy bitches and would never knowingly breed from hereditary defective lines.

We are proud to say that all Clavaire puppies will be unaffected with either prcd-PRA or Familial Nephropathy (FN) due to the genetic status of their parents.

We endeavour to be responsible people and are we sell our puppies in good faith, being to the best of our knowledge sound, healthy and typical of their breed.

All our puppies are home-reared with the utmost care and attention possible. They are kept in their whelping area (our dining room) until they are 6 weeks of age. By doing this the puppies are exposed to relevant sights and sounds (hoovers etc) and handled by visitors of all ages, to enable them to get used to people and a home environment. From 6 weeks the puppies are moved to our dog room. This introduces the puppies to our older dogs and helps with the transition of moving to a different environment (we have found that by doing this the puppies settle much quicker when they leave to go to their new homes).

The new owners of our puppies are provided with a quantity of food, diet sheet, worming certificate, a five generation pedigree, registration document, contract of sale, 4 weeks free insurance, exercise and socialization advice.

We try and encourage our prospective owners to supply us with a cuddly toy or an old item of clothing several weeks before collecting their puppy. By doing this the puppy has their new owners scent to become familiar with and the scent of its litter mates when it relocates to its new home.

The puppies are also veterinary checked, micro chipped and have their first vaccination before they leave us.

We like to stay in touch with all our puppy owners and look forward to receiving photos and letters from them. We provide life long advice and support to all owners, no matter how trivial the question or problem might be.

We do not advocate selling our puppies for breeding purposes. They are sold to prospective owners as ʻpetsʼ (we would be happy to discuss this at any time). All our puppies have endorsements on their registration certificates, this hopefully protects them from being mated to unsuitable dogs/dams that are not health tested and are incompatible with our lines (this means their progeny cannot be registered). This also means they cannot be taken out of the country without our permission. We are more than happy for prospective puppy owners to visit us, however this only applies to those people on our waiting list.
